over the weekend i was able to make some easter gifts for the grannies and for mom. i knit one easter egg (i put it over one of those plastic eggs) and crocheted two. (the crocheting is definately easier!)
i'll try to post pics tonight.
also, i finished the fuzzy purse, and felted it at mom's last night. mom and step-dad were really amazed at the process (i used their machine for the FMB, but they were not home). i need to add a fabric lining because there is fuzzy on the inside too!
other than that... i didn't do a whole lot. grocery shopping, bridesmaid dress shopping (I drove all the way over there to look at dresses, and the bitchy sales person said the bride should look at them online first, and then get everyone in the store - like that's going to happen with 6 bms in two states!)
i got my order from charmcity kids, and many of the things were gone by the time the processed my order. sucks big time. no mango moon. no denim silk. only the blue and white cascade pima tencel (feels very nice, but not enough for a tank top now! argh) and only two of the 5 books.
on the bright side, i spent $35 instead of $109. and the dark side, I will need to purchase the mango moon and more cascade at a higher price than i originally thought.
i'm pissed off at a friend from work. she's a big flirt and i know it. but we were talking about guys and i mentioned one i was into. he was at happy hour with us this week, and she was ALL over him! so i shrugged and talked to our other mutual friend (who i also like a little, but i think he likes her, and she has become "close" friends with him and almost kissed him... so i'm expecting something to happen between them). as soon as she sees me talking to him, she has to butt in!! then i was talking to guy A again about work/coworkers, since he sortof works in my dept- and she had to intrude again! boy was she jealous! honestly when i think about it now i feel a little sorry for her, because as much as the guys talk like they like it, it really was a little embarassing for her. she just HAD to be the center of attention. and often - we'll be standing around chatting - she will stand in front of me effectively blocking me from the conversation.
but - in my new attitude of being upfront and not letting people walk all over me - (which is a long story in and of itself, which i may not post here.... but was STRONGLY reinforced this weekend after the wedding shopping experience from hell!) i am going to say something to her. i passed her only once today, but i didn't want to have this conversation in the hall at work, so i let her assume i was busy. and you can bet i am never telling her anything about who I may like!!! anyway you probably don't want to really hear about that. but i needed to vent!
hey. one project done! should i start another, or finish up at least one more before doing that??? decisions decisions!
