our email has been down all day.
and it's about 95 degrees INSIDE, because it's 80 outside and they will refuse to turn the AC on until Memorial day.
this is not fun.
plus, i found a glitch that when they did repairs to the server last week, at least one file reverted back to a much older version. it shouldn't have happened, and they don't know why it happened, and now we have to be on alert in case it happened in other files.
yuck.
i went bridesmaid dress shopping on saturday - i really like the dresses the bride is considering - it's down to two. she needs to meet with my mom (who will be making the wedding gown) and finalizing some of those plans before the final decision is made.
however, being in the dress shop and seeing other try on the dresses slammed home the fact that i need to seriously diet between now and october. so i am going to curves tonight after work. then i need to stop by kendra's. and she has tempted me with a wine spritzer. so - i am using that as my reward, i can only have it if i actually go to curves.
on the knitting front - in spite of all better judgement, i started another project. i only have three major ones in process now and that isn't so bad. i started a poncho with the squash and russet yarn (zelda yarn, on cones) that i posted pics of last week. i am using a generic pattern posted at knitters review - figure out your gauge, make a neckline (i did 6 rows garter stitch, 116 stitches - should be about 28-29") that will fit over your head, then just knit. have four markers placed evenly around the piece. every other round, increase before and after the marker. this will result in a square poncho that will look like a triangle when on your body. (is this making any sense or is the heat getting to me??) anyway - i think it's fran who posted about this - if you want more info go to knitters review forums and search for poncho patterns.
i also worked on the boogie sweater a little.
ok off to try to work in this sweltering heat. stay cool.
