so - nicole (welcome to the jungle blog) wanted to do a jessical simpson shawl. i found a pattern online (free at bellaonline.com) and began teaching her crocheting last night.
i wasn't happy with how it looked. found a pattern on ebay that looked much better and paid $7.00 for it....
it's the SAME DAMN PATTERN!!!!
ok, the ebay one has great pictures and better instructions. but its the same thing.
(if you are interested in making this talk to me.)
i can't believe that not only was i suckered into paying for a pattern i already had, but i also caved to the trend machine and want to make it. argh. i suck.
Veggie Heaven is heaven...I'm always going there! I love their General Tso's "Chicken" and their Wanton soup is the best I've ever had. Now I've made myself hungry and I feel like going there now..lol. I think when I get around to it I'll make a JS style shawl too..-Tina-

hahahahaha. My evil powers have corrupted your will to steer clear of the JS shawl! And, you should know that I have just started Row 3 of that shawl, and the one thing I can be sure if is that I really haven't the foggiest idea how I've completed so much already.

Was checking out pics of your completed FMB and saw this note about the JS shawl. I'm looking to make one and wondered where you go the pattern. of course I need to learn to crochet too... do you think the shawl pattern is simple enough for someone who just knows the basic stitch and needs to pick up the rest?
thanks!!

I have been looking for a pattern for this JS shawl until quite frankly I'm sick of looking. I'm somewhere between a beginner and intermediate crocheter and haven't crocheted in years so I hope it's easy! I wouldn't mind paying for a pattern that *IS* the one I'm looking for (check out www.ceciliadebucourt.com), but I'm not adverse to finding the pattern free. I just don't want to be disappointed as you were after PAYING for something that is NOT what I paid for! You said if we wanted to make it to ask you, so I'm asking!

Hi, I was just hoping you could pass on to me the pattern that you have for the JS Shawl, if it is a lil better than the pattern on that bella site. i would really appreciate it! have you gotten yours done? if so, how did it turn out? thanks for your help,
beth
